On Tuesday January 20, 2015 Zambians went to the polls and elected their 6th Republican President, H.E. Edgar Chagwa Lungu in what has been dubbed the closest and highly contested election in the history of the nation won by a margin of less than 5%. The election however was without incident; the loosing runner up Hichilema Hakainde has still maintained the election was 'stolen' from him, Southern Province voted overwhelmingly for their preferred candidate as has been reflected in previous elections, CopperBelt province also proved it was still a PF stronghold although HH made some inroads and other related matters. The ZBTR Round Table team consisting Dr Liya Mutale (Lusaka), Apostle Margaret Buter (England), Matilda Mwaba-Lucas (Florida) & Pastor Davies Lombe (Chicago) will reflect and review the following; voting patterns, How does the nation move forward based on what these voting patterns revealed?, Role of the Clergy and traditional rulers in Zambia's political process & H.E Edgar Lungu's presidency. Join us as the panelists' give us broad based views from their regions of the world.

Mwansa Mupunda Jr is a Registered Nurse working as Nursing Supervisor at a nursing home. He is from Lusaka, Zambia and now lives in Pennsylvania. He is not married and has no children. He is an ambassador/volunteer with the Clinton Foundation. Mwansa  recently registered a new company dealing in import & export company, it will trade between America and Zambia/Africa. The company will be an activist company in the sense that it will actively promote gender equality for African women in the U.S. and in Africa. We will help African women by  finding markets for their products here in the U.S. Mwansa is very supportive of  African initiatives here in the U.S. such as the "SendBetty2School" campaign by George Mtonga.

Mwansa is a committee member for the business committee in SOZA ( Society Of Zambians in America). He believe in gender equality because it the key/answer to Zambia's economic problem.  Mwansa says "As a nurse, I want to use my knowledge and experience to help some clinics in Zambia e.g. on pediatrics and maternity issues. For my business that I just registered, I will be supplying 3 things: 1) African clothes, 2) handcrafts, jewelry and gifts, and 3) African dried foods and vegetables. I'm interested in Zambian politics, and also American politics, so I'm always comparing the standards between Zambian and American politics."
