Perhaps the most controversial decision taken by many states worldwide in order to curb the spread of this bloody virus was shutting schools down. In less than a year, the lives of our kids (and the adults!) globally were disrupted at an unforeseeable scale. Many have been skeptical about the real benefit of such draconian and over-the-top measure,  amongst others, yet many were also too scared of the possible catastrophe of not doing it.

@jeffreyatucker wrote about a study recently published in the United Kingdom on whether scarring the learning experience of our kids was worth the trouble. (Hint: nope)

Apa bahananya bila ketua kera-jaan pekak DAN bisu?

While everyone was glued on the development around the US Presidential Election this week, Israel took the opportunity to cleanup another Palestinian community for their illegal settlements project.

@yumna_patel wrote about the destruction and humiliation that took place, which serves to remind us of how we have neglected Palestine to rot and die on their own.

It's already November and the months since March had gone by almost unnoticed. Obviously it was not due to all the sufferings and depressions the totalitarian actions taken by the authorities to address this so-called 'pandemic' to individuals and businesses.

But one can argue that the tune that we, as citizens and marhaen, have been forced to dance to by the powers-that-be has been somewhat hypnotic. We sleepwalked into it and let others take control of our personal liberties and livelihood.

Something's fishy. Fear certainly works.

@tcp_dr tells the story as he experienced over the whole corona episode. He touched on how the system changed the scientific and medical ethics and practices, how the virus was inaccurately named to maximise the fear factor, how it enriches certain quarters, and what he foresees will be the optics at the other side of the pandemic narrative.

An alleged comment made by a Malaysian immunologist at St George's Hospital, University of London in a magazine regarding the state of Malaysia's public health has received a strong backlash from the public health community and the general public.

In his open letter to the magazine editorials, @DGHisham laid out his fact-backed arguments on the fallacy of her comments or the perceptive takes by the magazine towards her comments.

3 days from now the United States electorates will cast their votes in what is arguably one of the most, if not the most, critical presidential elections in the country's history.

@ollywiseman spoke to @VDHanson and asked about his observations which led him into believing that it'll be a repeat of 2016.

Another Charlie Hebdo cartoon. Another violent response.

Where and when does this end, one wonders?

@chedetofficial chose to keep it real and called a spade a spade in this controversial thread. He asserted that a fruitful reconciliation will only begin when countries, organisations, or individuals learn to not impose their value systems on others.
