We're down to it in college football with all the big conference championship games this week which will ultimately decide who makes the college football playoffs.  But, there were some HUGE shifts in the college football world with all the coaching changes that occurred and the dominoes kept falling. These big shifts disrupt even playoff chances in the case of Notre Dame and Cincinnati.  We'll discuss all the moves prior to picking all the games. Hall of Fame Basketball Coach Tom Rettig shares his thoughts and stories from basketball and life. We'll be focusing on the college game (mostly men's) during our recordings this winter and spring.  Join us as we talk about the big stories in college basketball, the teams, the match-ups and great stories of Coach Rettig's career and his memories and interactions with some of the greats in the sport. Including the legendary former Marquette University coach Al McGuire who won a National Title in the late 1970's at the school before becoming one of the more entertaining TV analysts for the sport. Everyone has a story, it's just that some are more interesting! Such is the case with teacher, mentor, Hall of Fame High School Basketball Coach and friend Tom Rettig.  Over the past 7-months we've been playing "This is your life" with Tom and having him re-tell the stories of his youth, his early days as a teacher and coach, his hey days with a top program, his struggle to maintain it and his advance through a career that has made for a Hall of Fame career.  In this the "Lost" episode (technical issues with a computer and poor recording) we wrap up our long journey through Tom's days as a high school teacher and his transition into retirement. Though he's not active as a coach or educator, that doesn't mean he's not active. Also, while listed as "Final", we'll be transitioning into a new podcast with Tom very soon where he and I will talk college basketball and life in general for the upcoming season!  Join us!  So, give us a listen, give us a share!
