This week we had the pleasure of hearing from Felix, a father in our church, speaks on living fully  surrendered to Jesus. The reality of death as humans can be a daunting reality or an incredible force that builds hope. We need to keep a big picture vision for life, remembering that we cannot live without His strength.

Just because we are saved doesn’t mean that He is pleased with the way we are living

It doesn’t mean that He is automatically going to trust us

That takes time, it takes us being faithful to God

And letting Him save us continually 

Miserable Christians are the result of them not letting go of their lives

Deeper surrender

We need to come to this place where we realise our struggle to lay down our life

But it is letting Jesus do what He does

This week Josiah shares a word on staying engaged to not step back from the season God has for you.

He will crown this year with abundance and your paths drip with abundance.

It says in Jeremiah that the Goodness of God causes the people to fear Him.

Daniel 7:25 The enemy will speak pompous words against the people of God. He harass' and wears out the people of God to seek to change times and seasons.

He gets us to question God's goodness in order to wear us out.

If God is saying it’s a time of His favour, the enemy would be try and get you to be worn out. If you are worn out you will want to fall asleep.

Hebrews 4 - we are to strive to enter His rest, we need to pursue His rest.

We need to understand that when the enemy comes like a flood, that the spirit of the Lord is going to raise a standard over us.

We cannot look at our life's through the eyes of man, but through heavens eyes.

This week Josiah shares a word on the importance of seeking His presence that pulls us through the pressures of life. God uses these pressures to form wine in our lives, although we need to seek Him in the midst.

Micah speaks of the glory of God from the pressures of life shall drip the words that produce the new wine of the spirit to make the heart glad. Micah speaks to a people that don't want to listen for 20 years, yet now his words have been spoken about for thousands of years.

Psalm 27 - David shares why he can be confident in hard times and attack, because he learnt how to dwell in His presence, to behold His beauty, behold His glory and to meditate to inquire in His temple.

27:13  I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.

This week we had the pleasure of hearing Angeline (a mother in the house) speak on the favour of the Lord.

Angeline begins with a brief overview of what we have been going through over the year.

Daniel 7:21-22 - We are like these craftsmen that are being raised up to combat the enemy.

The very thing that is used to divides us can also be used to bring us together.

Psalm 102:13 - You will arise and have mercy on Zion for the time to favour her has come

Favour is the Grace of God in our life's

One of the definitions of God's grace is God's unmerited favour.

This week Josiah shares a word on stewarding finances, sharing his journey with leaning into God for how to steward church finances.

God wants us to steward our finances and lean on Him and His word for how to do this well.

This week Josiah shares a word on becoming a people of favour that would overcome the enemy and possess the kingdom.

Hosea 10:12 - Sow for yourself righteousness, reap in mercy, break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes and reigns righteousness in you.

For what you sow you will reap.

In part 6 of our series Josiah brings a word on being a covenantal people. That God would move in our spirit and speak to us to be a covenantal people.

God raises us people to use what the enemy meant for evil for good, and as we covenant together we build each other up and keep each other safe.

In part 5 of our series on communion Josiah brings a word on God's covenantal love, that it isn't just a promise but a legally binding contract.

All that God does is from His loving kindness and this is rooted in this meal that we partake in.

Psalm 136 - His mercy or loving kindness endures forever.

This week we had the pleasure of hearing a word from a father in our Zion, Sam brought a great word on Communion. Sam shares his journey of growing up in church and then coming to understand communion as a place of encounter.

Sam leads us remembering the brutality of the cross and the power of Jesus' sacrifice for us.

Communion is a place of encounter where the power of the cross enters our lives and brings restoration.

As often as you eat this bread and drink this cup you proclaim the Lords death till He comes.

Josiah brings a word on this ending phrase 'till He comes'.

When we take Communion we are proclaiming that He is coming again and we are also considering our destiny.
