Prayer

Lord God Almighty, great and marvelous are your works.

Your ways are just and true. You are King.

We delight in you. We desire to bring glory to your Name.

You are holy. All nations will come and worship you.

Reveal your righteous acts both to the world, and to us today.

Prayer

Jesus may we be like you in the way you loved people. Holy Spirit help us to live lives that seek holiness and righteousness. May it be on our foreheads and hands who we serve. We pray against the drift and the things of our culture and tactics of Satan to pull us from you. Jesus we thank you for your blood. We rejoice that we are not under your wrath, but under your mercy. Help us share our story of hope in you to our friends, family and neighbors – those needing to hear. Amen

Prayer

Holy Spirit, come and move in this place this morning! Change the atmosphere, not just in this room but in my heart and in my mind.

What is hard for me to understand or to accept, give me your vision for reality!

You Jesus, are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.

Holy Spirit, open the eyes of my heart!

Prayer

Father, thank you for your Son, my King and Savior Jesus!

Holy Spirit, may your Word come alive in this place, in my church family and in me this morning.

Reveal what you have for me so I can live for you this next week. Where I am week, help me to be strong. Where I am strong, help me to put my trust in you.

Speak Lord and help me listen.

Prayer

Lord, I want to see everything you have for me this morning. Holy Spirit come and move in this place! In Jesus’ name, amen!

46 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” 48 He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Mark 2:3-5

3 Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. 4 Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on.

5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

Prayer

Father, thank you for the incredible gift of love. Thank you most of all for the greatest gift of love - Jesus!

Holy Spirit, help me learn to be loved by ou and help me learn to love others as you have loved me.

Help me set aside distractions and to be present this morning. Speak through your word.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
