God's desire was to always be connected with his people. When he designed Jesus, the great high priest, to forever make connection for us, He did it in such a way that Jesus has sympathy for us and opens wide the door for us to be connected to the one who created us and loves us more than anything. It's in this place at his throne that we can find grace in favor. This is a new concept when it came to Jesus, but the priesthood was not.
