Zions Finest - A Star Wars: Shatterpoint Podcast

Hello and welcome to Episode 113! In this episode, I am joined by Jon Borden (Qui Gon Jin) to discuss the recent ZiFi Invi., top performing lists and units, what surprised us, and why we think this is the best meta that Shatterpoint has ever had.

ENJOY IT!!!

Whew boy it has been a minute, and for that we apologize. In this episode, we discuss the meta, which has been informed by a bunch (read: mega bunch) of scrimming and results at the Evergreen Open.

This episode is not a review of the Evergreen Open (hopefully we can get that done soon), but is instead a high level overview of the major factions in SP and where we think everyone is landing (and why). It's a good refresher and hopefully gives some food for thought as people are playtesting.

Thank you for listening!!!

Welcome to Episode 111! In this episode, Matt and Scott interview Plummer from AMG regarding the patch. We try and take a bit of a different approach with this so that we are not covering similar ground to what other brothers will query when they meet with Plummer, and Plummer as always brings the goods.

It's a great episode and you will enjoy it. We hope everyone is loving on the new patch!

IT ARRIVED!!! The newest patch for Shatterpoint is out and it's a doozy. AMG took the nerf bat to the meta oppressors, and it looks like it's going to be a really fun meta to play on this summer.

Enjoy the hot, lukewarm, and ice cold takes of Matt, Scott, and JK as they discuss the patch. We are going to get our reps in this week, and we will have an episode out this weekend on our updated takes.

THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!!!

That's right! I got our reigning world champion, Matt Bronson (also known as zeusjeus and Danger Mike (iykyk)) to come on the podcast and break down his list, the meta, and some larger takeaways from Adepticon.

We focus on the major takeaways from the largest tournament of this most long-lasting meta, and Bronson does an excellent job at raising some meta observations that will be slightly longer lasting.

Really, this is an opportunity for me to pick Bronson's brain, and it gets sweaty, but he refuses to leave me with less than stellar content every time, so how can I refuse.

ENJOY THIS! Then join the Slack.

Welcome to Episode 108! In this episode, Kenny and Scott discuss lists, Adepticon preparation, and thinking through matchups. It's about as sweaty as we get, and it's useful to hear Scott's insights on Delta and how to approach dealing with the multifaceted Cassian lists. You will enjoy.

Here is Dynamc8's excellent conversation with Chris Sampson and Matt Bronson.

Herbert McCabe is a boss. Not Boss, or The Boss, but a boss. He has a great phrase about the importance of remembering the future, and Sammy Kaye and I discuss our thoughts on the recent announcements from AMG and Asmodee concerning the future of the game.

We are not rosy about it, but we also steer clear of the abyss for what we hope is a reasonable take that you will enjoy listening to. We also discuss Adepticon prep and the Adepticon team tournament.

We love you all. We hope to get a few more episodes out before Adepticon. Join the Slack and join the community.

Hello and welcome to Episode 106! In this episode, Matthew Scott and Sammy Kaye break down how Boss and Cassian are shaping listbuilding, how they are dominating competitive tournaments, and how they expect this to shape their approaches prepping for Adepticon.

WE ARE SORRY FOR OUR UNJUSTIFIED DELAY IN RELEASING EPISODES! WE HAVE NO EXCUSE! WE ARE THE WORST!

In this episode, Kenny is joined by Matt Bronson to discuss power creep, understanding structural features of Shatterpoint and their relation to the meta, and many other topics besides. Matt is a genius, and his genius is on full display here. You will love this episode.

Here is his article that mentions "expertise creep," and has other amazing insights besides. You cannot get enough good content from Brother Matt B.

Welcome to episode 104! In this episode, JK, Matt, and Sammy Kaye discuss the recent spoilers from AMG's Ministrav. While the details were sparse, the brothers give excellent thoughts on the impact of what was spoiled and things to watch out for in the future.

I apologize for the delay in getting this out the door. I have been swamped at work and raising so many babies and didn't have time to get it edited before tonight, but the absence of additional relevant disclosures makes this just as timely as the day it was recorded--SO ENJOY!!!
