Ecclesiastes doesn’t shy away from the topic of death, but confronts us with its reality. But only when we accept and live in light of death can we truly live meaningfully.

It is natural that we love ourselves most. But God's command for us is unchanged from the Law to Ecclesiastes to Jesus Christ: to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Understanding our human limitations of morality and mortality can actualy give us the freedom to enjoy our limited lives on earth if we entrust ourselves fully to God.

Baptism is a picture and a proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ: a physical representation of the inward spiritual reality of our death and resurrection with Christ.
