HURRICANE SEASON

The E-mail from America is chasing #hurricanes. Well, not exactly – Zeff isn’t quite brave enough to go up in one those planes that fly into the storm but his guests are more than familiar with the effects of powerful storms. First up, author and Georgetown University professor Bernie Cook, who discusses his book Flood Of Images: Media, Memory, and Hurricane Katrina, the definitive analysis of how news and documentary recall the infamous storm. Then on a new feature “Talking American” hears how Charleston, South Carolina, native Drew Ewing prepares to wait out an oncoming #hurricane.
