Zone-casts: Heel Turn

WWE landed a LOT of money this week for their TV right, including a billion dollars from FOX for SmackDown. But they did still produce TV this week to be recapped, including John being VERY mad about the Bobby Lashley segment, Owen really enjoying The Miz’s love for Fortline, and everyone is excited for Johnny Wrestling’s return to NXT… except maybe his wife.

A lot of news surrounding NBC Universal happened this week, including an awkward challenge and whatever is going on between John Cena and Nikki Bella. Plus John explains why Jinder Mahal is a face now on Raw while Owen in hindsight realizes SmackDown wasn’t that good.

Backlash happened, and it was so bad that a portion of the crowd left during the main event! Owen and John break it down, along with discussing a Raw with Bobby Lashley talking about his sisters, a SmackDown with some great wrestling, an NXT with a guy everyone hates, and more!

Owen and John quickly glance at how terrible The Greatest Royal Rumble was, because Backlash is this Sunday and it co-branded! John is not a fan of Natalya while Owen is very much a fan of Shinsuke Nakamura punching AJ Styles in the balls, and neither of them know what to make of Kona Reeves. PLUS predictions for the Backlash card.

Saudi Arabia is still not great, but they are hosting The Greatest Royal Rumble this Friday. John and Owen recap the weekly WWE shows including Shinsuke Nakamura’s new theme, Alexa Bliss’ PSA, and Tommy Entertainment being the dirt worst before giving predictions for the big event.

The rosters of Raw and SmackDown were shaken up, and John is extremely angry that he no longer has Samoa Joe on Raw. He and Owen run down all the roster moves, recap this weeks television, and looks ahead to next week’s Greatest Royal Rumble, which will probably be both good and bad.

Owen and John survived PAX East and watching five nights of WWE action from New Orleans, so there’s a lot to talk about this week. That includes the best TakeOver yet, Saudi Arabia being BS, differing opinion on Ronda Rousey, new main roster debuts, and more!

Since they’re going to PAX East this week, Owen and John came together super late on Tuesday night to break down the cards for NXT TakeOver: New Orleans and WrestleMania and give their predictions for what will happen during the biggest wrestling weekend of the year.

John is starved for something interesting on Raw while Owen claims 205 Live has a Match of the Year candidate. Plus we introduce a new ability to share audio clips on the show, but it causes a couple technical hiccups.

This week in wrestling was a wild one! Matt Hardy gave us The Ultimate Deletion, Daniel Bryan got cleared to wrestle again, and Snickers forced WWE to remove The Fabulous Moolah’s name from the battle royal. Plus some other wrestling happened, I guess.
