This week I’m recording using the Zoom H6 so you can get a feel for what it sounds like when paired with a dynamic microphone. The Zoom H6 is the quintessential podcast recorder and is used by top podcasters everywhere.
In this episode, I explore its features and break down why it’s such a great choice for podcasters who like to record via hardware, or with hands-on equipment, rather than recording digitally. I record both ways, BUT, pushing buttons and physically changing settings on a recorder makes me feel more connected to the recording process. Do you feel this way?
“The reason why you might want to use the Zoom H6 is if you're a podcaster that's intimidated by recording via the computer, and you'd like to be more hands-on.” - Eric Montgomery
“You can toss this thing in a backpack with your microphones and cables, and you've got access to a fully-functional podcast studio.” - Eric Montgomery
“There really is something about manually pushing the buttons and being able to dial in your settings with your hands.” - Eric Montgomery
