一個善於控制自己情緒的人,會時刻注意調節自己身心的需求,讓自己處於最佳的精神狀態。潮起潮落、冬去春來、月圓月缺、花開花謝,自然界萬物,都是循環往復的在變化中的,我們也不例外。我們的情緒,時好時壞,每天清晨醒來,可能不再有舊日的情懷,昨日的歡樂。而昔日的哀愁,今日的悲傷,又可能轉為明日的喜悅。對於自己千變萬化的情緒,我們不再聽之任之。要積極主動地控制情緒,才能掌握自己的生命,成為自己情緒的主人,
人體如同一個大化工廠,你有什麼樣的心理,身體就會按照你的心理定位,進行什麼樣的化學合成。心情就如同化工廠的調節密碼,心情並不是氣候等自然因素造成的,而是文化因素造成的,是我們自找的。不健康(情緒不好)的生活方式,不健康(情緒不好)的心理因素,不健康(情緒不好)的思想道德觀念,都有可能造成疾病。也就是說,人類的病態,身體的健康,及情緒的好壞,都有賴於心靈的健康,文化環境的健康,和生態環境的健康等。從身、心、靈整體上來關注自己的情緒與健康,才是王道。
人生不怕難,就怕愁莫展,能求苦中樂,笑笑眉頭展。情緒為健康的服務原則,我們要看清楚情緒的本質,了解情緒與健康的關係,學會掌控情緒,杜絕情緒中壞的一面,發揚好的一面,讓情緒成為我們的幫手,才能隨時保持開心。生命是樂的,不是苦的。錢已經丟了,生意已經倒了,車子已經壞了……,我們還要心情不好嗎?難過一會兒之後,我們還要繼續難過嗎?人如果會痛苦,一定是我們的心境,一直被外境所轉。其實,很多人都把自己的情緒按鈕,交給別人。別人一碰觸到那個按鈕,你就像機器人一樣的反應,別人按小力一點,你就小小地生氣,但是如果別人按大力一點,你就大大地抓狂了。這樣,即導致我們沒有辦法做自己情緒的主人。我們每個人來到這個世界上,都曾經是那麼地善良、可愛、有價值、敏感而容易受傷。在我們成長的過程中,我們有時被否定,有時被批評,有時被拒絕,有時被討厭……,常常遭受大大小小的挫折。可是,在我們的內心當中,我們都非常渴望與嚮往身心和諧的狀態的。我們很希望自己的心是舒坦的。也很希望自己一覺醒來,生命又充滿了陽光,未來希望無窮。心靈是身體的主宰,精神和意識心是生命的主人。一旦我們失去了生命中的喜悅,甚至是做主的感覺,在人生的道路上,我們的身心,就失去平衡了。
我們最嚮往的,不只是身體健康,而是一種身心整體的和諧,一種讓人覺得生命似乎是一種恩賜、活著是一種快樂與美妙的感覺。當我們越覺得幸福時,就越能感受到生命的每一刻,都如此的美妙,那就是「受恩寵」的狀態。賽斯書的《個人實相的本質》中描述到:「在沒有人干擾的時候,每個人會在不同的時候,很自然地、自發地經驗到一種恩寵或明覺,那就是意識清明,又很覺察的狀態。」「受恩寵」的狀態是,我們會感覺到內心的平靜、與世無爭,好像所有外在的痛苦,都沒有真的難過、傷心,而只會感受到自己有無限的活力,不侷限於當前的苦難。因此,當我們體驗到了「受恩寵」的感覺時,我們就不會再感受到自己的痛苦,不會被外境所轉,永遠可以真正做自己情緒的主人了。
Emotions are powerful. Our mood determines how we interact with people, how much money we spend, how we deal with challenges, and how we spend our time. Gaining control over our emotions helps us become mentally stronger. However, managing our emotions isn’t the same as suppressing them. Ignoring our sadness or pretending we don’t feel pain won’t make those emotions go away. In fact, unaddressed emotional wounds are likely to get bigger and worse over time. It’s important to acknowledge our feelings while also recognizing that our emotions don’t have to control us. If we wake up on the wrong side of the bed, we should take control of our mood and turn our day around.
In that sense, we need to acknowledge what we’re experiencing our emotions right now. We might feel a whole bunch of emotions at once--like anxious, frustrated, and impatient. We have to write down those feelings in order to know how they affect our decisions. Then, we can sense and reframe our thoughts.
In fact, our emotions affect the way we perceive events. If we’re feeling anxious, we might assume we’re going to get fired. If, however, we’re feeling happy, we might think that we’re going to be promoted or congratulated on a job well done. The easiest way to gain a different perspective of our daily happenings is to take a step back and dwell on positive thoughts. When we’re in a bad mood, we’re likely to engage in activities that keep us in the wrong track. Therefore, we have to take positive action in order to feel better.
All feelings are meant to be felt. Feelings communicate our needs and give us feedback on our current situations. So, we should listen to our emotions and respond to them. Sometimes, we have trusted friends or loved ones to share with our emotions.
Socializing can help to calm our mind and can even help regulate our body’s physical response to emotions. Last but not least, the way that we react and manage our emotions is a habit. Learning to listen to our emotions, and to identify, understand and then choose them, isn’t something that we decide to practice twice a week at lunchtime. No, it is with continuous effort and discipline that we can start to build this essential skill. Once we are able to form this habit and control our emotions, life changes for us in more ways than we ever dreamed possible. Finally, not only will we feel way more empowered and in control in life, but we will be happier and much healthier as we won’t be stressed or weighed down so often. How nice it is, isn’t it?
