Lady Pastor started by saying that everyone has been called in the house of The Lord and that the calling is to go and bring forth much fruits ( souls), hence; God has chosen and ordained us for such a course._ John 15:16

*She explained that the universal calling/vocation in the House of the Lord is to evangelize thus every believer having this in their DNA.

* Lady Pastor emphasized that, the ability to evangelise signifies the presence of the Holy Spirit on us._ Matthew 10:6

* She explained that, discovering your calling is to identify what you are perfect at in the ministry._ 1Corinthians 1:26.

In conclusion she said, God will show us any specific calling which He wants us to fulfill only when we respond to the universal calling(Evangelism).

Reverend explained that, once you're saved you are called._ 2 Timothy 1:9. He continued by saying that, Christ beseech us to walk worthy of our vocation wherein we're called._ Ephesians 4:1

* Reverend gave us three reasons why we are to walk worthy of our vocation.

1. Because it is a privilege to be chosen_ 2 Corinthians 4:1.

2. Because we have a limited season of opportunities _ Numbers 8:24-25

3. Because the Grace of God has work for us. Is only by His Grace that we can make it.

Reverend made it clear that, there is a vast difference between serving God and serving Pharaoh.

* He explained how most believers have now become SUBJECTS(Slaves) of these earthly masters. 2Chronicles 12:8

* Reverend emphasized on the fact that, God expects us to be more fruitful in His vineyard than to help pharaoh build his earthly kingdom._ Exodus 1:8-11, Luke 4:6

* He further explain that, though God created this world, He isn't the ruler but satan is and the plan of satan is to destroy us._ 2Corinthians 4:4, John 10:10.

* Reverend advised us that, this world and its pleasures shall come to an end and we'll all come to an understanding that they were all mirages._ Mark 8:36

TYPES OF WORKERS from the book" The Art of Ministry"

Verses: 2 Timothy 4:11, 2 Timothy 1:16, Romans 16:1, Romans 16:3, Romans 16:6, Philippians 4:2, Romans 16:9.

* Workers who are prone to abandoning you_ 2 Timothy 4:7

Reverend liken this to Apostle Paul and his shepherds, he pin pointed Demas who loved the world and left Apostle Paul. Having a responsibility in the house of the Lord makes us remain in God's present.

Workers who refresh you_ 2Timothy 1:16

He elaborated on the story of Onesiphorus who had special kind from God because he often visited and encouraged Apostle Paul.

* Workers who are servants of the church._ Romans 16:1

Reverend made it clear that, God delights in servants more than workers and that every Pastor, Deacon and shepherd must be a servant.

* Couples who are in full time ministry together_ Romans 16:3

He explained that, such couples make a perfect Co workers and they perform their duties as servants more effectively.

* Hardworking workers_ Romans 16:6

To be a hard worker, means that your absence and presence must be greatly felt in the church. God always take notice of hard working servants.

* Workers who are women and can not stop quarreling._ Philippians 4:2

Reverend explained that though women are quarrelsome, they are precious workers of God and they breed life wherever they are.

* Workers who are Full time Apostles_ Romans 16:9

Dedicating ones whole life to a course makes it greater and extra ordinary, so is the work of full time Apostles.

Scripture Verses: Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1 , 2 Peter 3:18

* Rev challenged us to meditate on the word of God, saying that the Bible is an all in all manual for our lives.

* He explained that, for the promise of God to be manifested in our lives, we need to confess it with our mouth repeatedly._ Joshua 1:8

* Reverend continued by saying that, constant meditation ought to always go with constant observation and practice.

* Reverend added that meditating on the word of God will make us grow, however; lack of such will really dry us up.

Lastly, he emphasized on the fact that when we allow the word to enter us by meditating, the word will get rid of any ungodliness in us.

THE TYPES OF WORKERS from the book " The Art of Ministry"

Scripture Verses: 1 Thessalonians 5:27, Matthew 9: 36, Philippians2:22, Galatians1:6:9, 1 Corinthians 3:1-7, Deuteronomy 28:47.

* Reverend began with Matthew 16:18, where he explained that God will surely build His church and for that to happen faithful workers would be required.

* Reverend continued on the types of workers in the ministry.

1. Workers who are sons and daughters._ Philippians 2:22

He emphasized on the fact that if workers see themselves as sons and daughters of the ministry, the impact of their work are positively felt and they perform their duties with great satisfaction.

2. Reverend continued on workers who have the same mind as the leader._ 2 Corinthians12:18

He spoke of how Apostle Paul testified of Timothy having the same spirit as Paul himself. The work of God is made more easier with people of the same mind and spirit as the leader.

3. Workers who work for you because they owe their whole life to the leader._ Philemon 1:19

Reverend explained that most people don't recognize the precious gift we have in God through Jesus. We work in the Kingdom of God to show our appreciation of God's salvation to mankind. Your service to God in the ministry is another way of saying thank you to God. He encouraged us to serve God with joyfulness and gladness_ Deuteronomy 28:47.

THE NORTH WIND

Revelation 12:10 KJV

[10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

John heard the voice of salvation and strength once the accuser has been cast out.

If the accuser can be cast out the people of God will do well. Because the devil has agents in the church, and he uses the church members to accomplish his work in the church, in the end the person looses interest in the things he or she does.

A Christian's job is to become a true ambassador for Christ, not to drive people away by the things one says or does.

Proverbs 25:23 KJV

[23] The north wind driveth away rain: so doth an angry countenance a backbiting tongue.

What the north wind can do to the cloud that has gathered to drive away rain, so can our prayers chase away a backbiting tongue. Also an angry countenance can also drive away a backbiting tongue.

The bad things we hear constantly corrupts us, we are to shy away from being receivers of complaints.

In conclusion backbiters, slanderers, and critics are not to be entertained in the Church.

They are also tale bearers who lie and fabricate stories about others to people.

Colossians 4:17

First one needs to become faithful before they can be used by God to do His work.

Mathew 25:1-13

10 christians in the church(virgins) Going to meet the bridegroom(Jesus) the wise took extra oil, the foolish didn't

The extra oil are the things that are done in the church such as involving oneself in the extra things that are done in the church.

The foolish Christian does not do anything extra. The wise carried extra, always at all functions (all night, turning points n other fellowships

The bridegroom tarried to give the foolish time to rise up and perform to the best of their ability. The foolish and both the wise all went to sleep, they slumbered while the bridegroom tarried.

The purpose of availing ourselves for the things of God is for us to meet the bridegroom Jesus.

We are to pay attention to the call of our ministry as opposed to just coming n going.

We shd not allow ourselves whatever reasons for the things of God not to affect us. The bridegroom comes unannounced [Midnight] The midnight is when crisis occurs. The things of God requires time to accomplish. As they start trimming their lamps- wanting to do the things that they shd have done when they had that opportunity: now begin to offer oneself to do the things they shd have but then it becomes very late for things to be accomplished. As we are all in the church we shd be ever ready for the bridegroom (Jesus) We shd endeavor to carry extra oil doing extra things for the kingdom of God. God was talking abt doing extra things in the Church for Him.

God doesn't look for perfection. He wants us to pay attention to the things of His kingdom and the ministry He has given to us.
