  • 8 Principles of Success - You must want to succeed
Reverend continued to share on the series 8 principles of success. In this series he talked about the steps we must take to be successful as believers.
    Scripture verses:
    2 Peter 1:3, Malachi 1:2-3, Romans 9:10-13, Hebrews 12:14-17, Hebrews 11:24-25, 1 Corinthians 1:25, Matthew 6:31, 2 Corinthians 4:17
    1. You should want to succeed. Investing in yourself by education is a sign that you want to succeed. If you want to succeed it depends on you. Jacob wanted the birth rite from his brother and this was an indication of his willingness to succeed.
He also wrestled with an angel of God to bless him. why, because he wanted to succeed.
    2. Set your priorities right. You can choose to struggle now by going to school or struggle for the remaining years of your Adult life by neglecting to invest in your life by going to school.
Two chooses in setting priorities are temporary and eternal. You can reap temporary the benefit of your choices but also you can have the lasting benefits of eternal decision you take.
Sometimes when we make a choice to follow God it may seem foolishness to the world as the Bible states in 1 Corinthians 1:25:
[25] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
At the time men begin to understand you and what God is doing in your life by then you are far ahead of the race.
Because Moses chose to forgo the pleasures of sin and to suffer with the people God used him to save the Israelite by delivering them out of Egypt.
    Hebrews 11:24-25 KJV
    [24] By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; [25] Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. May we be blessed as we continue in listening to messages

  • Not I but Christ
Reverend emphasized on the fact that, many people regard themselves as Christians but fall short in many ways.
    He continued by sharing with us the major steps that can make our Christianity fruitful;
    1. He talked about the fact that as Christians, we must die / allowing ourselves to come last and denying ourselves just like how Jesus did on the cross for mankind.
    2. Taking up the cross of JESUS by allowing the will of God to dictate the pace of our Christianity and relegating our will to the bottom.
    3. Lastly he emphasized on the fact that, following Jesus comes with certain requirements which we must pass. Dying to our flesh/ worldly things and being alive to our spirits just like Jesus.
In conclusion, he said there can only be much fruit in our spiritual life if only we are prepared and willing to die to our flesh.
Therefore beloved, may we blessed as we continue to listen to the teachings of our Father.
Scripture Verses: Gal. 2:20, Matthew 16:24, John 12:24.

  • Lessons on Loyalty - Introduction
On lessons on loyalty Reverend shared that we are to be persuaded by the things of God.  It is then that the things of God won't become laborious for us
    1.  Loyalty demands full persuasion
One has to know a person  in depth before the person can commit to that person.
One has to know the doctrine of an individual before one commits to the person. Also, one won't be loyal to a person if they don't know their doctrines
    2. Your loyalty must be to a loyal authority.
    3. A loyal Person doesn't withhold information.
Pertinent information should not be withheld from higher authority.  Information revealed saves the church and sometimes the person it pertains to.
    Scriptures:
    Esther 2:22-23,
    2 Timothy 3:10,
    1 Corinthians 11:1,
    Esther 4:1-17,
    1 Corinthians 1:12

  • The Cross - The symbol of death
Reverend continued on the series Sacrifice. He shared with us that the cross signifies death and anytime we see the cross it is a reminder that a Sacrifice of death was paid for us. Also, he said that the Cross is the symbol of Christianity.
    Scriptures:
    Luke 9:23, Philippians 3:7-8, Galatians 2:20
The question to us all is that are we ready to pay the price of sacrifice by
    1. Denying yourself - means is to die, not seeking your own interest, but seeking the will of God
    2. Taking up your cross daily - not once, a month, or occasionally but daily.
Reverend emphasized on Paul's writing that the things he deemed so valuable before became worthless because of the revelation of Christ to him.
    Philippians 3:7 NLT
[7] I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done.
    Be bless
