This week, Van is in the house (literally, he was in my house) and we're joined by Dennis Choy. We get to hear all about the new diggs at North Coast Church in Vista. We ask the question, "A Pro6? Really?" Great fun ensues.

Dennis explains his choice and we talk about other technology including the RSS M-400 and M-48, the Jands T2 lighting console and why choosing the right equipment is important.

Duke Dejon & Van Metchke talk with Mike about surviving VBS and building into the next generation of techs. Hear great ideas on building an inter-generational tech ministry. All three TDs have experience building tech teams with volunteers who are teenage and middle age. Learn some keys to making that successful and why mentoring is so important.

Mike is joined by Duke Dejong; tonight we talk about the softer side of tech ministry--when things don't go as expected and how to develop a good, supportive relationship with the worship leader and band. How you handle a crisis is just as important is how fast you get it resolved. And sometimes we as techies need to reach out and build a bridge to the musicians to foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

Mike is joined by Van Metchke. The two get into a great discussion about the Midas Pro3, Pro6 and Pro9 and whether they are good choices for church environments (spoiler, they don't think so). Also, is there another spectrum sell-off coming? It looks like the Obama administration is looking to raise few tens of billions of dollars by selling of some more spectrum. You know, the like the one we just spent money vacating? Yeah...

This week, Mike is joined by Camron Ware. The two discuss the theory and practice of visual worship, environmental projection and using art in worship. Learn about the hardware and software needed for environmental projection and discover one of the keys for making visual worship successful.

Mike is joined by Bob Nahrstadt; they talk about a new HD video distribution solution, new speakers and the Digico SD-8. Products include the Contemporary Research QMOD HD, the Meyer Mina, EV's new EVA line array and a discussion of why Mike is choosing the SD-8 over a Profile. Visit http://www.churchtecharts.org/show for links and show notes.

Mike is joined by Duke DeJong as they talk about some cool new technology from InfoComm. Highlights include the Digico SD-8/Waves Soundgrid, the RSS M-48 and S-MADI Bridge, the Prosonus 24.4.2 mixer and some other goodies.
