Is it hot in here, or is it my two special guests today who were both former firefighters, now romance authors?
In today’s episode, we will be discussing firefighting with my two special guests, Lolo Paige and Kaye Kennedy. Lolo was a wildland firefighter in Montana and Alaska and Kaye was a city firefighter in Long Island. Both give us insights into the culture and the everyday life of being a firefighter in these two different, yet similar fields of firefighting.
Both of my guests are now successful full-time romance authors who share what is working well for them in their author careers, and what has not.
During this episode you will learn:
• How Lolo Paige started her career in wildland firefighting and the training and equipment that she used to fight wildland fires.
• How Kaye, a third-generation firefighter started her career as a city firefighter and the training and equipment she used to fight fires.
• How both Lolo and Kaye’s experience in theatre and stage helped them with their author careers.
• What the biggest errors and misconceptions that authors make when writing stories about firefighters.
• The best book marketing tricks and practices they both use for success.
