Before Justinian could fully reunite the Roman Empire, a Black Plague spread throughout the Empire and killed Millions of people. It crippled the Roman Empire and stagnated the economy. The Black Death was horrific and killed people without mercy. Millions of people were killed all across the known world. With the cripple economy, almost all hope of reuniting the Roman Empire ended.
