Avoiding conflicts is one of people pleasing specialties.
I am not saying that we are not strong, or weak though it could be interpreted this way, but we just don’t like it!
It ruins our reputation, the idea we want people to have of us, our identity. They are going to judge our flaws on which we have put so much effort to hide by pretending they don’t exist.
The thing is that it is tiring to avoid conflicts because deep inside we know that it is going to appear on our face one day or another and the result of it is that it weakens our ability to discern what is actually right for us.
The predominant emotion here is fear of being judged and rejected. And it’s more painful to avoid fear than to face it.
When you face fear you :
