On today's episode, I welcome Yasir Sacranie to the podcast. Yasir is a Specialist Antimicrobial Pharmacist and a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice. He is the founder of MicroPharm which is an online platform intended to provide medical and pharmacy education for students and healthcare professionals, including crash courses and study guides for the GPhC Pharmacy examination. Over the space of one year, the MicroPharm Instagram page has managed to reach over 10,000 followers which is an incredible achievement in itself!

We spend a lot of time talking about Yasir's career and building MicroPharm but we also discuss some other interesting topics:

- How to use different techniques for studying including active recall

- Transitioning from community pharmacy to hospital pharmacy - how Yasir completed a pre-registration year in community pharmacy but got offered a position as a hospital pharmacist as his first job after qualifying
