After growing up in and out of prison, Clyde decided he would never be taken alive and Bonnie wanted to join him in a life of fame and glory. Former Texas Ranger Frank Hamer and his posse granted the duo their wish in May 1934 near Gibsland, Louisiana when they ambushed the couple and shot up their car.
