In episode 9 of Season 4; Rachelle discusses the 1981 murder of Arthur Criswell and Officer Robert Martin. Officer Robert Martin was a family friend whom Ricky had known since he was a very young child. Rachelle also discusses the man responsible for their deaths – 31-year-old Ricky Ray Rector. The twist in this case is that when Ricky shot Officer Robert Martin (after turning himself in for Arthur Criswell’s murder), he then turned the gun on himself…shooting himself in the head; which in turn caused brain damage. The issues and questions that this case brings to the table are overwhelming. The way this case unfolds is quite interesting, but also pretty disturbing, to us. But, we’ll let you formulate your own opinion. Ricky Ray Rector was sentenced to death for his actions. He was executed by lethal injection by the state of Arkansas on January 24, 1992.
