I get tons of questions about baby formula as a Lactation Consultant. There are SO many myths, beliefs, feelings, and miscommunications around this very sensitive topic.

I don't believe in the formula vs. breastmilk debate and I will NOT participate in that dichotomy. It is unhealthy, neglects the needs of families, and fuels the "mommy wars" movement.

What I am here to advocate is that formula is used safely, without fear, and that it isn't seen as an enemy to breastfeeding.
