Marcus, a young man seeking solitude, spends a weekend at his family’s remote mountain cabin. One stormy night, he’s startled by a knock on the door and discovers a drenched stranger who introduces himself as Elias. The man seems familiar with the cabin and takes a particular interest in Marcus's grandfather’s chair. The next day, Marcus learns from a local that Elias was his great-uncle who had vanished in the mountains decades ago. Shocked, Marcus returns to the cabin and notices initials carved into the chair—E.B., his great-uncle’s initials. Realizing the mysterious visitor was somehow connected to his family’s past, Marcus leaves the cabin, haunted by the encounter.
