In this first episode, we introduce listeners to France's storied political history from the French Revolution to the Fifth Republic. Then we discuss France's three branches of government and how power is divided between them with a focus on how these differ from the United States. Finally, we discuss the territory of France which spans five continents (Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Oceania and Antarctica).
