I get it we are judgmental creatures, however its what you choose to do with that judgement that gives you the power to unlock some of the most powerful information and conversations. Learn to look at judgment from a different angle and find growth through the judgment. That's what this episode dives into, how to understand your judgment and what to do with it to completely change your mindset towards people and situations.
As always learn to become One Strong Mother!
As a busy mom I honestly thought that anxiety was just going to be a part of my everyday life from the chaos and craziness that 5 kids and military life brings on. This part of my nutrition journey has been the most amazing and freeing gift ive ever given myself. Within the break i took from literally all things internet i spent my time diving deeper than i have ever gone in to nutrition and how i can change and manipulate my mental health on the daily basis. Through this journey I have been able to find an entirely new me that I have needed for a very long time. Put in the work and i promise a more energetic you will be on the other side of a better diet.
I took a break from podcasting with the disappointing realization that my house isn't quiet, my kids are always creating chaos, I don't have it together enough to put out episode and give advise to other moms. I trapped myself to these thoughts until I realized I don't have to have it together, I don't have to be perfect, let the listeners here the background noise because guess what that's what my reality really is. This is me living one rep at a time. No longer trying to have it all together but embracing the imperfections and reality of motherhood and making it my very own and loving the journey ahead.

I am so excited to bring you guys this episode where I got the amazing opportunity to speak with Ashley Ertel about all things anxiety when it comes to us mamma's and the pressure we put on ourselves. I cant think of a better person to be talking to about this as Ashley is a Board Certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified DBT Professional, Telemental Health, and Certified Lactation Counselor. Not only is she qualified to speak about these things from an educated stance, but she herself is a working mother who also deals with the same struggles as every other mom out there. I hope this conversation brings light to your struggles and shows these are normal things, you are not failing, you are worthy, and you can retrain your brain to see the light and not the dark.

The world around us makes it incredibly easy to target the blame elsewhere as to why didn't get something accomplished, or why something might have gone wrong. It is way to easy to get caught up in the victim mentality vs. facing yourself and really evaluating why or what you did or didn't do to create that specific outcome. This is a quick episode to breakdown how I have applied ownership to my own life and also teach our kids ownership and what the benefits of this approach have done for us.
What better way to kick off this new podcast for moms than an interview with my friend and CEO of Healthy By Design RD. Beth Basham and I discuss what it means to eat intuitively and how to escape the mental trap that is placed on us by diet culture. Break you chains free from the stigma of good and bad foods and learn to understand and listen to your body and live freely, and truly embrace what food can do for us not only physically but emotionally as well. If you are interested in connecting with Beth to further you relationship with food, you can find her private Facebook group called Mindful & Intuitive Eating for Women. You can also follow her on Instagram @healthybydesignrd
As always you can connect with myself through Facebook as Ashley Mussyal, or Instagram as @ash_mussyal.
Thank you so much for tuning in today, I hope you enjoyed the conversation as much as I did.
