This week, I'm joined by Sam Grau, or as I like to call him, Sam the Sound Guy, as we discuss sound and score in cinema. I'm going to be honest, I know the bare minimum about sound design and sound mixing, so watch me struggle to keep up with Sam in this new thrilling episode of 10-1 with Marlo. I may sound like an idiot in this one, but at least I tried. I wanted to shine light on a severely under-appreciated, yet insanely important, piece in film. We even discuss an absolutely wild film, Yorgos Lanthimos's The Killing of a Sacred Deer, and how the film uses music to truly hit those emotional highs and lows, build tension, and subconsciously influence how the viewer feels.
