Roughly 1 in 10 Americans suffer with some degree of constipation, and many of those patients suffer with ongoing chronic issues around constipation. So for the first time, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Gastroenterology have released joint recommendations for the management of chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC).
