NEWSFLASH: It turns out all we needed to make this music podcast work was to have someone who could talk about music on it-- we cannot normally do that but luckily we had a blessed savior this week with our wonderful guest Leanne [OTHER IDENTIFYING INFORMATION REDACTED] as we discuss her comfort food album: The Life Pursuit by Belle and Sebastian. No spoilers but we three lads were not prepared for this choice and we are sorry that she's so much better than us at this.

Per Wikipedia Mac calls his genre "jizz jazz" which we do not say on the pod or ever again I am buying the flashing thing from Men In Black.

Hot August Bites continues with what will almost certainly prove to be the only album Chris had never heard before! That's right, its the sensation among 16 year old boys who were 6 when it came out for some reason: Fashion Nugget by Cake. I give my nuggets fashion by swabbing them in atomic sauce, if you're wondering.

Unlike the ones with VK our cat or Chris with the cookies, there is no inside joke here, it just is what it is-- and the same can be said of tonight's album Celebration Rock. It is Celebration Rock.

This weeks episode answers the age old question: What if Alvin and the Chipmunks jammed hard and loud? Turns out the answer is Spiderman of the Rings but the second answer would've been Bromst, Dan Deacon's less-chipmunky (Theodore has gone solo) but still pretty jamming second album. Why were there like three lady chipmunks did they ever explain that? That was really weird I didn't like it.
