Pierce was arrested May 15, 2026 in North Carolina, extradited, and indicted for first-degree murder, felony murder, kidnapping, and concealment/disposal of a body; he was arraigned June 11 without bond and remains in custody as the hosts anticipate a trial in 2027 or later.
