Many of us find it very difficult to deal with conflict, whether that be in our personal or our professional lives. And yet, conflict is an inevitable part of a relationship where two individuals with their own thoughts, views and identities come together.
Michelle Purta talks to me about how we can see conflict from a different perspective and that while we cannot avoid it, we can avoid arguing and can build healthy marriages rather than feeling stressed and overwhelmed by these relationships.
Michelle is a marriage coach, host of The Marriage & Motherhood Podcast, and married mom of 3. Like many of us, she did not grow up with a healthy model for relationships and experienced a lot of challenges with her significant others and these challenges were heightened after she became a mom. After learning the key foundational tools to having a healthy marriage, she now helps couples learn how to help their marriage thrive after kids and how to work through the common challenges couples face once they become parents such as communication issues, resentment and feeling more like co-parenting roommates rather than a romantic couple.
