This is my (Michael's) opinion ... "This industry has a problem ... a BIG problem ... and there is no one to blame for it. Here it is ... this industry is horrible at defining "success". It has one metric and one metric only ... money. Our awards and milestones are all based on money and for the majority of the people in our (I'm guessing), their version of success is as varied as the individuals themselves. In recent years, I've come to clearly define what success is for me ... and the transformative impact that has had on me professionally and personally is enormous."
