Carl’s mom, Beverly Carter, was a REALTOR® who lost her life while doing the work she loved. Since losing his precious mom, Carl has dedicated his life to creating safety training and tools to make positive changes in agents’ lives and business.

In this episode of the "10/4 @ R4 Podcast", our guest is Mike Schneider, CEO and Co-founder of First.
Jesse and I recorded 22 episodes of the podcast at R4, and the episode we were most excited for ... was this one! For the second year in a row, (booj in 2019) Adam Contos introduced a world-class real estate technology company acquired by RE/MAX LLC from the main stage at RE/MAX R4.
This year's announcement was the acquisition of First. First, as explained by Mike Scheider, uses data science, machine learning and human interaction to analyze an agent’s contacts and identify those most likely to sell in the coming months.
The app helps agents spend less time hunting for business and more time building it. According to Mike, agents miss about 70 percent of the deals within their network. First closes that gap and makes it easier for RE/MAX agents to know when people in their database are ready to sell their home.

In this episode of the "10/4 @ R4 Podcast", our guests are Mo & Sonsy Gaba of Children's Miracle Network from Baltimore, MD.
Sonsy, Mo's mother, first a saw potential health issue with Mo when she noticed his eyes appeared white in a photo taken at a family gathering when he was just 9 months old. He was diagnosed with a malignant tumour of the retina, and soon lost his sight. Mo has had operations, aggressive chemotherapy, radiation and a bone marrow transplant, and has spent approximately 75% on his life in a CMN hospital. He has kicked cancer's butt three times, and currently finds himself battling cancer for a fourth time in his lungs.
With all of that ... Mo remains fearless! He is a remarkable kid, full of positivity and grace. He makes you a better person just to be around him for a minute ... or ten. And his laugh ... which you hear a lot ... is infectious.
Mo and Sonsy give us a glimpse into the difference that RE/MAX and Children's Miracle Network are making for "kids like Mo". They also share how the staff at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center create moments for kids undergoing treatments "just to be kids" ... if even for a moment.
During the "R4 Rapid 4", Mo shares with us who'd win in a battle between four to five "car-sized" chickens and one "baby tree-sized" elephant.
