🟦 Part 1: Intermediate Level(中級)
Let’s talk about something delicious: American food! 🍕🍟🍩
Many people think American food is all junk food…
But let me tell you — American junk food is delicious!
Chips are to die for. There are so many kinds — spicy, cheesy, sour cream and onion... They’re totally addictive. And the bags? They’re enormous! I always feel a little guilty when I finish a whole one — but it happens. 😅
Now let’s talk about burgers. Burgers here are juicy and full of flavor, much better than I ever imagined. Steaks are big and bold; they’re different from Japanese wagyu but still very tasty. And bagels? They’re a whole new experience. New York bagels are crispy on the outside and chewy inside, and they really changed how I think about bagels.
There are so many great restaurants across the country. In New York, you can find everything from Italian food to authentic sushi. Washington D.C. is famous for its delicious fried chicken and soul food. And Philadelphia? You have to try a Philly cheesesteak! It’s packed with thin-sliced beef, onions, and melted cheese — so satisfying!
Once you start exploring American food, it’s hard to stop because food is such a fun way to experience the culture, and there’s always something new to try.
Now, let’s move on to the advanced version — I’ll tell a similar story with more natural expressions and faster rhythm. Ready? Let’s go!
🟨 Part 2: Advanced Level(上級)
Alright, time for a more advanced take — still all about American food!
I’m a foodie, which means I don’t just eat to survive; I eat to enjoy and experience culture through food. The U.S. food scene is much more than just burgers and fries.
But let’s start with junk food. Although “junk food” sometimes gets a bad reputation, I have to say some of it is crazy delicious.
Let’s talk about chips. Yes, potato chips. They might sound simple, but in the U.S., they’re next-level. There are endless varieties: classic salted, barbecue, sour cream and onion, dill pickle, jalapeño, cheddar and sour cream — you name it. Some are kettle-cooked for that extra crunch, and the portion sizes? Absolutely massive. It’s the kind of snack that starts as “just a few” and turns into “how did I finish the whole bag?”
And then burgers — a well-made American burger is like a masterpiece. A toasted brioche bun, a perfectly grilled patty, crispy bacon, melted cheddar, caramelized onions, and a special sauce… when done right, it’s pure magic.
Steak in America might not be wagyu, but it definitely has its own charm. When grilled to perfection and seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and maybe some garlic butter, it becomes a hearty and comforting dish that satisfies deeply. As for bagels, especially in New York, they deserve their own category in my opinion. Unlike the soft, bread-like bagels you might know, real New York bagels are chewy and dense. They are often served with thick cream cheese and smoked salmon, completely changing your expectations about what a bagel can be.
And the restaurants! There are so many amazing spots that one episode isn’t enough to cover them all. In New York, you’ll find world-class Italian restaurants, handmade ramen shops, and authentic Mexican restaurants. Washington D.C. offers Southern cuisine like crispy fried chicken, cornbread, and mac and cheese. The iconic Philadelphia’s Philly cheesesteak is a beloved classic — thinly sliced beef, grilled onions, and melted cheese all stuffed into a soft roll make it an unforgettable experience. This is a basic introduction the food in the USA. Hope you enjoy the delicious experience!
