108.9 Trapdoor Radio

The new is out... I'm lecturing at The Session 2026. In this episode I talk nerves, imposter syndrome, the “yes year,” and what I should actually teach. Plus: live reactions to new releases and how you can instantly start performing better magic.

Lloyd Barnes reflects on the life and legacy of Wayne Dobson, the magician who shaped his path. Plus, learn a powerful new estimation based card trick, and a look at the rising tension behind one of magic’s hottest releases.

Lloyd rants, riffs, and reflects on the weird world of magic. From last-minute miracle creations to viral effects born under pressure, this episode dives into effect vs. ego, unsung tricks, new releases, and one brutal magic lesson most creators need to hear.
