In John 15, Jesus tells us that “apart from Him, we can do nothing.” 

Why would we ever disconnect from the “Source of life?!” 

Because it’s hard? Or we don’t understand? Or it’s unjust? 

Maybe the account of Job in the Bible, will help us with our perspective…

Jesus makes it blatantly clear in John 15 that HE alone is the VINE…and we are the branches. That’s not an insult, but rather the embodiment of our God-given purpose in life! 

When “branches” try to pretend like they’re “the vine,” life gets complicated, confusing and chaotic! 

Branches have 2 functions: Remain in the Vine & Produce Fruit. 

Be the branch!

There are a lot of opinions being voiced in society today…. Proverbs 3 was written by King Solomon, the wisest person to ever live, and Canonized in the Holy Bible, making it the inspired Word of God. 

Regardless of how “right” we think we are in our perspective and grasp on life… maybe we should listen to what God tells us to do in the third Proverb.

The grace of God not only rescues us from our sin, but it also empowers us to live our lives to the fullest! 

The Saving Grace of God is not a one-time event and the Sustaining Grace of God is available in both the low & high places of our lives. We need BOTH and the good news is, they’re both always available to those who are “IN” Christ Jesus!

Jesus went looking for the “woman at the well,” NOT to condemn her but to redeem her. She had adapted her lifestyle to accommodate her secret, but Jesus came to set her free. 

The same is true for us today: God’s not coming “AT” you - He’s coming “FOR” you!

Jesus knew everything that would happen on the Cross and He STILL went forward. At no point was the Son of God in trouble or in danger of losing…it wasn’t a close call - it was the plan all along! If things seem bleak right now in your life, remember, God does for us what we cannot do for ourselves!

In life, seasons come to an end, but sometimes we “call it quits” before it’s actually over. Other people will say it’s over - we often tell ourselves it’s over -  and even the odds or facts of life will indicate it’s over… but if God hasn’t said it’s over, it’s not a thing! Choose to believe in God no matter what!
