Telesh Pascual López is Maya, Kanjobal from Guatemala and migrated to Los Angeles where she grew up. She is a Spanish-English interpreter, facilitator for language justice trainings and consultant.
Telesh has over 15 years of experience as a community interpreter in grassroots settings. She was one of the co-founders and worker-owner of Caracol Language Cooperative, a small business that provided language services to New York City for almost 10yrs.
Her dedication to language justice was inspired by her years as a volunteer interpreter with domestic worker organizing in New York City. She is a trained trauma informed interpreter and completed a medical interpreter intensive course at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
