12 Angry Men is deservedly regarded as one of the greatest films in American cinema, as well as having one of the best screenplays of all time from Reginald Rose. Sidney Lumet made his astounding feature debut at only 33 years old, changing film forever with his incredible vision and directing. The movie tells the story in real time of a jury in deliberation after a long murder trial. The defendant is an 18 year old accused of murdering his father, but much of the evidence doesn't add up after discussion as one juror stands alone with a "not-guilty" verdict. It's his moral duty to defend his vote and convince the others in order to save a man's life.
