🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸
Independence Day is one of the most meaningful holidays in the United States—so today, let’s take a moment to talk about what it really means.
It’s also All English Friday—the day we spend a few minutes together using only English.
As always, we’ll begin with the intermediate version, and then move on to a more natural, advanced version.

Hi everyone, and Happy 4th of July!
Today is Independence Day in the United States. That means—it’s the day America became independent from England, a long time ago. It happened in 1776.
Back then, England taxed America very heavily. Many people in America thought it was unfair. So they decided to fight for their freedom. This war is called the American Revolutionary War.
There is a famous place near Philadelphia called Valley Forge. You can visit it and see the land where American soldiers trained and stayed during the war. They didn’t just fight with weapons—they also fought against cold weather, sickness, and hunger.
At that time, George Washington, who later became the first president of the United States, was a general. He and his army had a very hard time. Many soldiers died—not only from fighting, but also from disease and the freezing winter. But they didn’t give up. They kept going. And in the end—America won.
So this day is very important for Americans. It means freedom. Many people think about the people who fought and gave their lives for this country.
Usually on the 4th of July, people celebrate by eating barbecue, enjoying watermelon, and watching fireworks at night. 🎆
It’s a fun day, but it also reminds us of something very important:
Freedom is not free.
It was made possible by the courage and sacrifice of many people.
Happy Independence Day, everyone! 🇺🇸
