Jen Denton and Pastor Jeff Cranston discuss how salvation is based on Christ and the believer's service to Christ. Paul likens these to gold and silver and precious stones and says that there are two types of structures built on Christ- the first being built on gold silver or precious stones, which will endure and be rewarded, while the second is built on wood hay or stubble, which will suffer loss. Christians are secure in their salvation because they are building on Christ, which is the rock. Christ himself is the foundation on which the Christian stands, and on which they build their eternal life.
