Today is all about the core and why understanding proper core engagement is so important. Before learning this I used to have achy hips ( not while running necessarily) but throughout the day especially in the morning. As a matter of fact at 40 I thought I needed hip replacements and I hadn’t even started running yet. My chiropractor and PT both said it was hip bursitis and we looked for stretches to help alleviate the pain but it never went away. That is until I learned how to level my pelvis and engage my core because it reduced the extraneous motion I was making when walking and running.
