Sleep is something a lot of us take for granted
I'm the first person to put my hands up and admit that I've not been great at looking after my sleep recently and it has definitely affected me
Today I speak about the importance of sleep
Some things that can affect our sleep like caffeine and alcohol
The effects that lack of sleep can have on both our cognitive function and mental health
That we don't change these things unless it gets very uncomfortable and sometimes it's just easier to complain with everyone and get sympathy than do something about the problem
There are some health effects that long-term sleep deprivation can cause which are worth keeping in mind
