Research agency Rica, along with the Thomas Pocklington Trust, have recently completed work which looked at how accessible gym equipment is for people with disabilities.

 The findings show that there is still a long way to go before, for example, a blind person can do their work out independently on digital and electronic apparatus.

 RNIB Connect Radio's Allan Russell spoke to Mike Brace and Chris Lofthouse to learn more about the research and if there is anything that can be done to encourage manufacturers and gym owners to make accessibility a priority at the design stage.
