Hey Fandom! Welcome back for another episode of Trash Talk Roundtable with your hosts Rick, Corrina and Tony. This week we are back with another recap of The Challenge USA season 2 where we are going to be breaking down episode 9 "Enemy of the State". We kick off the episode by discussing the changes we had to make to continue on with our journey towards being a full video podcast while also discussing our overall thoughts on episode 9 as well as when the last time we saw a Survivor go home on any version of The Challenge (0:00 - 6:40). Then we break into the episode and discuss why this episode title sounds so familiar, the horrendous foreshadowing of this episode, how shocked we were to see Chris is on the cast, the wild fact that Michaela confronts Chris about his shady alliances right in the middle of the house, and what we think Chris should have done when talking to Michaela. We also discuss what it entails to be in an alliance/have an agreement with someone in the house, whether or not Chris is being treated a little unfairly and why is Fessy suddenly so protective over his Big Brother allies? Also, a breakdown of the daily challenge, our thoughts on cheating/sharing in dailies, how CBS is upgrading The Challenge to be more fair between competitors of different sizes and genders, who we would have liked to see make it through to round two of the daily, how production always does themselves dirty and what we want to see from them to save this season. We also discuss why we were shocked at round 2 of the daily challenge, the unavoidable injuries sustained, why Michele continues to disappoint us, who we were most shocked to see struggle on this daily and Fessy's incredible strategy leading him to his first daily win of the season (6:40 - 36:16). After the break, we return to discuss how everyone's inner monologue has become an outer monologue on this episode, Bananas continued overconfidence in fellow veteran Challengers, Fessy's plan and execution, where Fessy slipped up that may come back to bite him in the butt later, whether or not we think Fessy would actually have the guts to throw Bananas into elimination, why we liked the end result of nominations, why we are so over Cassidy's fits, when it's okay to go back on promises you made in the house and do the top Survivor girls trust Michele and Cassidy the way they trust each other? We also discuss why Sebastian going hard in the paint was the worst thing he could do at this point in his game, Chris overplaying his hand and what we think he should have done instead, the truth behind Chris's game on Survivor Edge of Extinction, why confrontations were happening left and right and of course, Michaela's superior confessionals. To close out the show we break down the Dude Perfect themed elimination, who we think voted for Bananas, whether or not we think the varying strategies for the elimination really made a difference, Sebastian's big mistake, how we think Chris will need to move forward in this game to perhaps save himself, a hilarious story we caught on The Official Challenge Fandom Podcast regarding Tori, Sebastian and TJ as well as our overall thoughts on Sebastian and our MVPs (36:16 - END).
