This week’s guest is Nick Prueher. For five years, Nick worked in the research department for Late Show with David Letterman, eventually becoming head researcher and a segment producer. Those years were filled with many interesting adventures working for the legendary broadcaster. In this episode, Nick and Mike scratch the surface of those adventures.

When he left late show in 2004, he and his childhood best friend and comedy partner, Joe Pickett, founded the legendary Found Footage Festival. This led them on a 20-year-plus run of doing shows all across the country, showcasing the hilarious, unique brand they created and continue to curate to this very day.

It also led Nick and Joe to a very interesting side project involving pranks that are extremely Letterman-ish. They were sued by one of the biggest media companies in America, ultimately vindicated, performed on the stage of America’s Got Talent, and had a documentary made about them, Chop & Steele. Nick and Mike barely scratch the surface in this, Nick’s first appearance on The Letterman Podcast.
