Is product reviewing something that you've thought of doing on social media? Maybe you've considered turning your online presence into a job. Well today I speak to Oonagh O'Brien (@equinecentsandsensilbilty) about what it's like being a product reviewer
We talk about how she accidentally became a product reviewer, and how the reviewer landscape has changed since she started it in 2017.
How trolls and social media have changed the sport and not for the better
How putting yourself out there not only puts you in the firing line for abuse but also full-on copying you or stealing your content for themselves
That once you represent brands you need to pay attention to what you post cos you are not just representing yourself anymore
The importance of having influencers of all shapes and sizes because people come in all shapes and sizes
We also talked a bit about the dangers of children becoming influencers at such a young age and the mortification we feel trying to take videos in public
At the end, we had a little chat about showing miniature ponies, which is another thing that Oonagh does (If you've not seen the videos of Pixie and Peanut check them out!)
They were both rescues but now are both seasoned show ponies, but the shows have been gradually disappearing over the last few years which is such a pity
Oonagh also speaks about the care of minatures is completely different to normal-size horses and you have to be mindful of this if you are new to owning them.
If you want to find out more about Oonagh, see her reviews or just pics and vids of her beautiful ponies you can find her here:
