On October 13, 2022, 15-year-old Austin Thompson is alleged to have shot and killed his brother James Roger Thompson, Raleigh police officer Gabriel Torres, Nicole Connors, Mary Marshall and Susan Karnatz, in Raleigh, North Carolina; also on October 13, 2022, 17-year-old Tyler Roenz is alleged to have killed his mother Michelle Roenz in their Humble, Texas home.
