Christina Holtz is an owner of Bay Paws Pet Resort, as well as General Counsel & Pet Hotel Division Manager of MPH Hotels, Inc., a hotel development and management company based in St. Petersburg, FL. Christina oversaw the design and renovation of Bay Paws, researching the best building materials and design for pet safety and wellness.

Prior to joining MPH and creating Bay Paws, Christina worked as an attorney for seven years at law firms in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. where she managed large corporate accounts and led a team of paralegals and attorneys. While working as an attorney in DC, Christina frequently took her dog Wrigley to doggy daycare and utilized that pet parent experience in her design of Bay Paws.

Christina is originally from the suburbs of Chicago and has lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Mom to dachshund Wrigley, Christina understands the pet parent perspective of taking your fur baby to a pet facility and works diligently to ensure that Bay Paws provides the best pet parent experience and peace of mind.

This episode features our Co-Founder, Sharon, and her brother, Sean, as they torture each other about the current Tampa Bay Lightning vs New York Islanders playoff series.

According to Sharon, "Sean has always been the HOCKEY black sheep of the family as we all grew up Ranger fans in NY except for Sean."

Sean has remained a true die hard Islander fan while Sharon fell head over heals for the Lightning when Jeff Vinik walked in and bought the team in 2010.

Sonny Flynn is a well-known leader in the Tourism Industry and she now forging a path in the Wildlife Education field for Pinellas County and the State of Florida. Sonny Flynn is the Owner of the Historic John’s Pass “Alligator Attraction” that has been a staple Attraction in the County for decades drawing in thousands of excited visitors annually. Sonny has also changed the Mission Statement of her company to add the categories of Animal Rescue and Wildlife Education Center. Sonny has dedicated herself to saving thousands of animal lives by adopting them or assisting in the relocation of unwanted pets. Realizing the growing numbers of animals that need to be relocated from owners that can no longer care for them, Sonny knew she had to do something. By educating the public through her Wildlife Education Center Sonny and her staff helps visitors to understand the needs of certain species and what it takes to have them as pets. Sonny’s belief is by educating the public about the needs of certain species and which ones are good household pets and the ones that are not, will help eliminate the numbers of neglected and unwanted pets in society. Before jumping into Attraction & Education Ownership Sonny has had a long history of success in the Tourism & Hospitality Industry.

Mike Sutton is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties, where he has served since March 2014. As CEO of a $18M nonprofit organization, Mike provides leadership and oversees the continued delivery of the Habitat for Humanity mission of partnering with people in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing in Pinellas and West Pasco Counties.

Mike is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with experience in the nonprofit sector dating back to 2001. Prior to his role with Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco, he served in leadership and development roles with organizations including Brothers Big Sisters of Pinellas County and Habitat for Humanity in Bryan/College Station, Texas.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from USF and a Certificate in Fundraising Management through Indiana University’s Center on Philanthropy. In 2011, Mike obtained his CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) certification and was honored as an Up & Comer through the Tampa Bay Business Journal in 2010. In addition to his nonprofit work, Mike is involved in the community through a number of organizations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Amplify Clearwater where he serves on the board as immediate past chair, Valspar Championship’s Copperhead group, the USF Alumni Association and the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity Education Foundation.

Randy Ware is CEO and Founder of WestCMR, LLC, the world’s leading healthcare industry surplus surgical supply company. After facing health challenges with his newborn son in 1991, Randy’s perspective as to what mattered most was forever changed. His family’s experience with the hospital that saved his son’s life became the silver lining that inspired his future vision for WestCMR.

Through Randy’s life-long commitment to pay his passion forward, he personally charges his family of companies with serving the community and partnering with charitable organizations that are making a difference in people’s lives. As a result, WestCMR proudly donates more than 1% of its annual revenue to charity, which will cumulatively eclipse $1 million by the end of 2020.

With almost thirty years in the hospitality industry, Florida native, Eileen Crowley knows a thing or two about hospitality. “I started back in the days when we had little knowledge of RevPar and ADR” Crowley laughs. “We just welcomed visitors to Florida!”

With her roots in Palm Beach County, Eileen has worked for Marriott and Hilton on the east coast. As the Director of Sales and Marketing, Crowley worked regional positions and property level positions. She’s had the opportunity to learn and work hotel operations as well.

Ten years ago Crowley moved to the west coast and recently she transitioned to IHG.

“I live in beautiful Safety Harbor and I was eyeing a conversion hotel, close to home, but also showed promise of success in the location”.

The new Candlewood Suites opened in June and is now the home for many businesses in the area.

Carol is a member of the Clearwater and Dunedin Chambers, and a volunteer and supporter of the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida-District 8 Pasco,Pinellas,Hernando. A member of the Professional Photographers Association and a graduate of Real Shoots, Carol has taken what was once a hobby and passion and built a business of creating beautiful artwork with the imagery captured in her photo sessions. Her 6 year old rescue dog, Dexter, is the inspiration for her photography, her most patient model, and the best of the "good-boys"! Having loved so many fur-kids in her life, Carol has an exceptional eye for showcasing the story of beloved dogs and horses alike while preserving the memory of them for the ones who love them the most.Carol Moorhead of the Dog-Tog is a pet photographer based in Clearwater, capturing beautiful soulful photos of dogs and horses in the Tampa Bay Area. 

She and her husband, Tracy, moved to Florida in May 2019 from Wisconsin, but both are from St. Louis, Missouri. Carol and Tracy are empty nesters who look forward to visiting their grandkids Fiona, 4, and Cormac, 2, in Minnesota when it’s safer to travel.
