Just like his namesake Magnus I, this episode's Magnus spends most of his early life involved in Danish politics. However, as we saw last time, he jumps feet first into Swedish politics by organising the murder of king Sverker and then Erik the Holy last time around! But how will this Danish interloper deal with being king of a foreign country and how will he try and deal with the various factions in Swedish politics?
