Episode #14 shows us how to win as a solopreneur. Nia Lewis knew her destiny early on in life as she began exhibiting entrepreneurial traits as a child which then carried on into college where she started her first salon business in her dorm room. It was during her college years when she solidified her entrepreneurial path and decided not to pursue the corporate world after graduation, a decision that many questioned, but she knew she had it in her to succeed. 5 years later, she's thriving as a solopreneur!
Nia has launched many businesses and has learned how to hustle to grow her businesses versus hustle only to maintain her businesses. She captures all of the lessons that she has learned along the way and regularly shares them through her incredible podcast, The Solopreneur Hustle.
The Solopreneur Hustle podcast was created to bring transparency to what it's really like to build a business from the ground up. Be sure to check it out!
My favorite take away from the discussion with Nia was how to overcome imposter syndrome. Many people that are starting a business feel as if they may not know enough or do enough, therefore they're not credible to run a business. That's simply not true! If you want to create something and believe in it, go for it!
Next take away, "it's not a brag if it's the truth." Don't be afraid to talk about your successes, they can inspire someone else to take action and make this world a better place.
Nia's success is a result of her dedication to personal development, mentors in her life, and confidence that she has developed through many ups and downs as a solopreneur. She's a great person to learn from!
