In this episode of Hope in Recovery, we explore the deep and often painful process of letting go of old wounds and character defects. Drawing from the story of Jacob wrestling with God in Genesis 32, we ask: Am I wrestling against God, or clinging to Him in my pain?
Sometimes the pain we face is chronic—familiar, lingering, and easy to settle into, even though it keeps us stuck. Other times, it’s acute—a sharp pain that signals it’s time to grow. In both cases, God isn’t surprised. He meets us in our pain, not to leave us there, but to lead us into healing.
